FOOD STAMP PROGRAM
What is the Food Stamp Program?
The Food Stamp Program provides nutrition assistance to people with low income. It can help you buy the nutritious foods your family needs for a better diet. There is no time limit for Food Stamps. You can get them for as long as you qualify.
With Food Stamps, you can choose the food you buy at any authorized supermarket, grocery store or certified farmers’ market.
The amount of Food Stamps you get depends on your income and expenses. Many people who work full time qualify for Food Stamps.
To find out if you are eligible, go to www.fns.usda.gov.
Riverside County residents can apply for Food Stamps at your local Department of Public Social Services (DPSS). Below are locations and numbers.
